lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">The general<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">approach is in<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the field of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">engineering sciences<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and aims to develop<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the<\/span> <span class=\"hps atn\">performance-<\/span><span class=\"alt-edited\">engineering<\/span> <span class=\"hps alt-edited\">of multi-material<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">incorporating the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">constraints of sustainable development<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">in civil engineering.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps alt-edited\">The originality of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the approach developped by<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the research team<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">is to consider<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the interaction between<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">material<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">structure<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">given<\/span><span class=\"hps\"> priority<\/span> to <span class=\"hps\">processes<\/span>. <span class=\"hps\">This is<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to develop<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">an interactive<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">research between<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Innovative engineering <span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">to ensure the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">robust<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">formulation<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of new materials<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">providing greater<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">reliability and durability<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of infrastructure.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">reverse engineer<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">seeking to<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">sustain the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">heritage<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and improved<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">safety conditions<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">for<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">users<\/span> considering\u00a0<span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">evolving<\/span><\/span><span class=\"hps\"> operating conditions<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">or<\/span>\u00a0 <span class=\"hps\">environment.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">Innovation<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">for successful<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">engineering<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">involves<\/span><span class=\"hps\"> a classical<\/span> multiscale<span class=\"hps\"> approach<\/span>\u00a0 to <span class=\"hps\">predict<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the responses of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">materials and structures<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">during processing<\/span>, in use <span class=\"hps\">under<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">coupled solicitations for<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">significant time<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">scales<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span id=\"result_box\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">The prediction of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">emergent properties<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">in complex<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and heterogeneous<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">systems<\/span> is <span class=\"hps\">based on the identification<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and modeling of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">interactions<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">between<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">nano,<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">micro<\/span>, meso and <span class=\"hps atn\">macro-<\/span>scales <span class=\"hps\">and will<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">lead to the formulation<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">\u00ab\u00a0robust\u00a0\u00bb<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">materials<\/span> that<span class=\"hps\"> will be possible<\/span> to <span class=\"hps\">characterize and to model<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">under<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">operating stresses<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">or<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">during transformation<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to evaluate their<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">reliability and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">optimize<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">their life cycle<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">within the
