A theoretical-experimental contribution of an exterior insulation process valuing wood polymer composite.

Abstract

This work is part of a project (FUI) ECOCIS that aim to design, develop and validate the performance of a new constructive process for external insulation based on wood-polymer composite (also called plastic wood). This new material is a mixture of wood fibers and a thermoplastic matrix and is part of the problem of valuing wood resources in the form of processed materials.

The thesis, with a high experimental content, focus on different scales of analysis in order to establish their joint essential basis for the conduct of an optimization work and, eventually, the formulation of an analytical models.
