Research activities
My research activities focus on anisotropic heterogeneous/composite materials used in Civil Engineering. My main research avenues concern:
- The development of numerical meshes function of the heterogeneity and the anisotropy of the material, by considering the location, the shape of inclusions and their arrangement in the matrix,
- The Finite Element modeling of heterogeneous/composite material in the aim to predict the effect of these inclusions on the mechanical behavior of the anisotropic material.

Teaching activities
My main teachings relate to the initiation of the building operations, the management of projects in the study phase and structural timber design. I teach at the Civil Engineering Department of the IUT of Lyon 1.
